More About Susie

For years Susie has promoted and supported small farmers and budding food producers in their efforts to grow, connect, and get visibility. From working at various farmer's markets during the 2000s she made her own debut at underground markets in 2011, with her Nutless Professor food business experiment - part of her research writing a book on bringing food products to market. Today she consults with food entrepreneurs to simplify and illuminate the process of developing and launching natural and artisan packaged food products.

A 2011 Good Food Awards chocolate committee member, Susie tackled the task of helping with chocolate judging in 2010 like a near-empty cookie dough bowl. (Chocolate is in her blood. Or is her blood, rather.)

As Food Artisan Relations Manager (FARM) for Foodzie.com Susie enjoyed working with over 250 small artisan food producers to sell on Foodzie’s e-commerce marketplace, combining her extensive background in Internet marketing, content writing, and a passion for merchandising good food.

And  of course evaluated lots of delicious creations and brands.

(O Magazine said ““If you have only 10 minutes: Shop the gourmet marketplace at foodzie.com, which offers a smorgasbord of goodies from small producers nationwide.”)

Recently, Susie partnered with Laiko Bahrs to create Epicuring, a website, newsletter, and Google Calendar of hand-picked food events and experiences. Our goal as Epicurators is to get food loving travelers to enjoy California to the fullest as well as inspire food entrepreneurs to create new and interesting events, classes etc.
